S-Tree in McKee Kentucky

I've recently got back into ATVing mainly because of my kids and their love for it. This past Saturday I took the wife and kids to S-tree near McKee, KY to ride the trails. We started off riding the two loop trails. One to 421 and back and the other small loop that goes around the campground. By mid afternoon, I decided to take them down near Horse Lick creek to ride the numerous trails that I used to ride 20 years ago. I knew that Federal Park Rangers had cracked down on riding on the main gravel roads around S-tree. So my question is this, how do you get from S-Tree campground down to Horse Lick creek without getting on gravel roads? I remember there was some nice trail riding down there and I would love to take the family down there without getting a ticket for being on gravel roads for licensed vehicles only.

Hey everyone,

I'd like to go over and ride the trails at Crocketsville. However, I don't know exactly were to go, I've been through there for work, but never spotted the trail head. Probably drove right by it and don't know it.

Still, I'd like to ride over sometime and check it out, if someone could help me out with that.

Holler Crawler Haunted Forest Ride Review

What a great event we had, had approximately 300 riders show up, some from as far away as Florida, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. Also had folks from a lot of different clubs like the Knott County Trail Riders, the East KY ATV Club in Hazard (real nice to meet you folks), and the McCreary County ATV Club come and I think I spotted a Southern SXS Rider decal as well. So thanks to all who came and I hope you enjoyed it.

We showed people through some haunted woods on WTOP, then met around the campfire to roast hot dogs and marshmellows. Needless to say we were not expecting 300 folks and ran out of food - that wont happen next year.

Anyway, our club has decided to make this ride our staple ride because of the great turnout we had and because of how much fun we all had. We are probably only going to do 1 or 2 rides next year, and this ride will DEFINATELY be there. We all came away with great ideas for next year, and next year we will have much more $$$ to sink into it, as well as MUCH more volunteer help. Although we had approx 30 Holler Crawlers helping with the ride, we still saw that we needed much more.

Anyway, I hope anyone who came had a great time and I promise that next year will be even better by a longshot.

Heres the video I took. It is kinda dark but you can get the picture.

Holler Crawler Haunted Forest ATV Ride

Hey guys, wanted to let everyone know that we're having our first annual Haunted Forest Ride on Oct 24th. Weve got a lot of tricks and a few treats planned so bring the whole family and come on out! Hope to see you there.

•	Riders should be ready around 6:00, ride will leave at 6:30 PM.
•	Riders will go on about a 30-40 mile night ride, easy level, including on part through a haunted forest, where there will be Halloween decorations and candy given out.
•	Will be a segment for kids of all ages, and the group will split later on for the older kids to go to an even more haunted section of the mountain.
•	Ride will end at Sam Low Pond where we will build a bonfire, tell ghost stories, and roast marsh mellows and hotdogs. We will try to have everything done around 9:30-10:00 PM
•	Event is completely free of charge
•	For those wanting to ride during the day as well, the Holler Crawlers may have a guide or two available around 2PM for a picture taking ride of the fall scenery on the mountain
•	We also hope to have a hay ride and maybe a horse carriage ride for those who want to come but don’t have ATVs. For more info on this please contact Jon Grace using information below.
•	This will be a great event to bring your kids to and will be fun for the entire family.
•	For more info visit www.hollercrawlers.com or contact Jon Grace at hollercrawlers@hotmail.com or by calling 606-302-1943

I feel that we have a great area right here in Perry County to ride. We have hundreds of miles of trails already in existance that people ride every day. The Foreceam area, Kenmont area, Leatherwood, Buckhorn, etc.

And the best part is 90% of them all connect together. We would love to hear from people that know more of the trails around the Perry County area.

Let's hear from you!
